About Woodminster Realty

Led by broker and owner Nick Drobocky, and family-owned in Oakland since 1999

Who We Are

Woodminster Realty is a family-owned brokerage in the Oakland Hills, near Montclair Village. We've sold homes across the Bay Area since 1999 and managed East Bay rentals since 2001. Today we manage more than 350 homes and units, most of them single-family homes and small apartment buildings, and we help owners buy and sell when the time comes.

The company is led by broker and owner Nick Drobocky, an Oakland native. Growing up in a real estate family and renting for much of his life shaped how Nick runs the company. We treat owners as long-term partners, we treat residents with respect, and we apply the rules the same way every time, whether or not it's convenient. Doing what's right has been part of the company from the start.

Nick grew up in Oakland, graduated from Holy Names University, and has spent more than 25 years managing and selling homes across the East Bay. He started in property management in 2001 and has grown Woodminster into a company that manages more than 350 homes and units, from single-family homes to buildings of 20 units or more.

His reputation rests on compliance and consistency. Rental rules in the East Bay change constantly and vary from city to city. Nick makes it his job to know them and to apply them the same way every time. Owners come to him for that steadiness, and many have stayed for years.

He still does the work himself. He meets owners at their properties, walks every home before recommending a plan, and personally visits every rental Woodminster leases.

Nick rented for most of his own life before owning a home, and he's never forgotten what that's like. It's why he insists that residents be treated with respect.

Nick, his wife Lauren, and their two kids live in Oakland. When he's not working, you'll find him on the golf course, cheering on the Warriors, or in the stands at his kids' games. He does his best not to miss one.
